10 Wrestlers Whose Stock Has Risen In 2019
2. Ricochet
Followers of New Japan, Lucha Underground, Dragon Gate, Evolve and fans of practically every indy company under the sun knew WWE were getting their hands on a special worker when they signed Ricochet last year. NXT, a haven for the workhorse, was a great feeding ground for the high-flyer to prove his chops.
2019 has shown first hand that it's time for more.
Ricochet's smoothness is unparalleled. His bumping style stands out, his 630 finisher is breath-taking and the guy's promos (never truly a strongpoint, although they didn't always need to be before now) are improving the more he does them. If handled carefully, the second half of 2019 will be even bigger than the first for someone who could easily slot into the main event picture permanently.
Paul Heyman, the new gaffer on Raw, will be a fan. His history of enjoying talent who are different to everyone else around them precedes him, and there's no way the one-time ECW mastermind will let WWE ruin Ricochet's potential. Keep your eyes peeled, 'cause this former 'King' is edging towards his throne.
