Weeeeeeeeeeell...

...it's Paul Wight. That doesn't have the same ring to it, does it? Mr. Wight won't care a jot, especially not now he's living out his commentary dreams in AEW and looking forward to mixing it with some fresh faces like Luchasaurus, Darby Allin and others in Tony Khan's wonderland.

Technically, Big Show wasn't on the WrestleMania card last year, so this is cheating. Stick with it though, 'cause the giant's stock has gone through the roof. Wight was willing to bet on himself by leaving the WWE system behind, and there's something lovely about the fact legends are able to prolong their careers elsewhere like he has.

Jobbing to then-new WWE Champ Drew McIntyre immediately after the Scot's win over Brock Lesnar was one thing. Barely being used and rotting away without any hope of fulfilling his announcing ambitions was another. As weird as it'll be for Show to be on the outside looking in during 'Mania season, AEW is the best place for him.

The dude has a smile on his face again.
