COVID ruled Charlotte out of plans for 'Mania 37.

She was originally supposed to wrestle Asuka on one of the nights, but Flair was whipped out and replaced by Rhea Ripley last-minute. So, by default, her status as SmackDown Women's Champion heading into this year's show represents growth for Charlotte.

Also, she's against Ronda Rousey. The ex-MMA fighter's return to the WWE fold is big news for everyone, so being that first one-on-one opponent during Ronda's comeback is an ace spot for Flair. This is the kind of match that'll grab some mainstream attention whether Charlotte wins or loses come Dallas.

'The Opportunity' stands proudly beside Becky Lynch as WWE's biggest women's star. Some folks can't stomach her, but Charlotte is a credible rival for Rousey these days. Flair is going from skipping WrestleMania for health reasons to potentially working a main event on the first night.

That'll be another feather in her career cap.
