10 Wrestlers With The Most Breakout Star Potential Right Now
5. Jade Cargill
Jade Cargill is already a star.
She's a star because she is a star. She possesses that which can't be taught: presence, intangible charisma, an incredible, striking look. She also possesses the most underrated promo game in the industry, having evolved from the promising albeit pause-ridden opening shot to Cody Rhodes in late 2020 into an economic, withering cut-down style that just oozes an aloof quality that serves her dominant character wonderfully.
But she's still not exactly complete in the ring. Her power-based offence is convincing and crowd-friendly, but she still gets lost in there and her downward elbow strikes and the standing position from which she unloads them still look awkward, and unnatural, like she's still learning the craft. And that's because she is, having only worked 32 matches.
Under the tutelage of Bryan Danielson, already, there are signs of significant improvement. Two of those 32 matches were triumphs; against Anna Jay in particular, Jade told a smooth, dramatic and focused story of outrageous hubris that was nearly her undoing, which informed one electrifying near-fall that required awesome body control to get over.
Once Jade is as composed in the ring as she is outside of it, she could be the most valuable female performer in the U.S. - and the green version of Jade Cargill is already the Demogoddess.
