10 Wrestlers With The Most WWE RAW Matches Ever

Who is the real 'Monday Night Messiah' of the red brand?

Monday Night Raw is a weird watch at the moment. As with all wrestling shows, it just doesn't feel the same without a crowd - no huge pops for babyface victories, no audible gasps for shenanigans, and we're even starting to miss the "what?!" chants when someone cuts a promo.

Nevertheless, the juggernaut that is the red brand rolls on. The longest-running weekly episodic TV show (in their heads at least) has been going for 27 years and racked up an impressive 1,405 shows.

Certain names are synonymous with Raw - you can't think of Monday night wrestling without picturing the likes of Stone Cold Steve Austin, Chris Jericho, and in more recent times, Seth Rollins. However, who has racked up the most matches on WWE's former flagship show?

Trawling through The Internet Wrestling Database's statistics makes for fascinating reading. Most of the names who make the top 10 are obvious legends who have been with the company for many years. Nevertheless, there are a few surprises in there, and wrestlers just missing out include Shawn Michaels, the aforementioned Rollins, and a certain Cody Rhodes who probably won't be coming back any time soon...

10. Edge - 272 Matches

You can't help but feel a little bit sorry for Edge.

After getting one of the biggest reactions in recent memory for his return at the Royal Rumble and crafting a phenomenal build to his match with Randy Orton at 'Mania, his WrestleMania moment played out in front of a handful of people and his Last Man Standing match with Orton was downright dull.

Regardless, Edge sneaks into the top ten of this list ahead of his good friend Christian (245 matches) and despite his time on the blue brand with the World Heavyweight Championship, racking up an impressive 272 Raw matches.

Despite appearing on Monday nights recently to hype that feud with Orton, his last contest came on 28th March 2011 when he and Christian defeated Alberto Del Rio & Brodus Clay on the road to WrestleMania 27.

Edge has been involved in some of the best modern-day matches on the red brand in my opinion; bouts with the likes of Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair and Evolution justify his place in Raw folklore.
