10 Wrestlers Without Direction For WWE SummerSlam 2017

5. Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch and UFC Women's Featherweight Champion Cris Cyborg had attempted for months to work their own angle over Twitter into a clash at a major WWE event, with SummerSlam looking the most likely option after Cyborg scooped the title at July's UFC214.

Unfortunately for both women, it appeared as though neither organisation was paying quite as close attention to the online war of words. Neither WWE nor UFC expressed any public interest in the cross-promotion, this robbing Lynch of the high profile scrap and also highlighting just how little she currently has on her SmackDown Live! agenda.

'The Irish Lass Kicker' has found her niche as the reliable babyface on the blue brand, but has inadvertently inspired neglect from the creative team in place of current champion Naomi and Money In The Bank winner Carmella. With Natalya shockingly earning the Women's Title shot for the 'Biggest Party Of The Summer' (presumably to give the 'Glowing' titleholder a contest actually befitting of her position), Lynch's absence is notable more for her not really having an actual reason to be there in the first place.

And yet with all that said, her current partner's absence is perhaps even more surprising...
