10 Wrestlers WWE Have Wasted Since WrestleMania 33
2. Finn Bálor
Those of us still unconvinced by Finn Bálor's ability between the ropes looked foolish at Tables, Ladders & Chairs in October, when the Irishman delivered one of 2017's great WWE matches alongside a jet-lagged AJ Styles.
Aside from that, it's been a slow year. A feud with Wyatt eventually showed subversive promise - largely because of the possibility of Bray Wyatt in a dress - but it fizzled out after the Eater of Worlds went down sick.
He seems now to be fighting a losing battle to convince Vince McMahon that he has the credentials to be Monday Night Raw's leading man, evidenced by his being cut from the Royal Rumble's Universal Title bout at the last minute.
In a perverse way, injuries to Dean Ambrose and Samoa Joe over recent weeks could yet end up working in his favour. There will presumably be a couple of WrestleMania spots opening up now that two of the company's biggest stars have gone down, and Bálor has to be one of the top candidates to fill them.
