10 Wrestlers WWE Need To Do More With In 2021
WWE

2020 should have been the year Asuka became the true Empress of Today. With Becky Lynch out of action for a while and Ronda Rousey nowhere to be seen, not to mention the injuries and time out experienced by Charlotte Flair, the stage was set for Asuka to take the reins and draw RAW's women's division into a brave new world.

For whatever reason, it didn't happen. Asuka has dominated the title picture but very rarely been the centre of attention, playing second fiddle to the break-up of Sasha Banks and Bayley over the summer and the bizarre booking of Lana ever since. What should have been a year of quality defences against a variety of strong opponents has been wasted on handicap matches and title defences against managers.

Somehow, Asuka remains above it all. She has been one of WWE's most consistent performers for a number of years now, always putting on a great show no matter the opponent. It is high time that WWE gave her something to play with. 2021 should be the year that 2020 could have been, a year where Asuka cements her legacy as an all-time great in the company.

In terms of championships, she has nothing left to achieve. Now she needs that career-defining feud. 2021 is the year it needs to happen.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
