10 Wrestlers WWE Should Have Signed YEARS Earlier
7. Shayna Baszler
Shayna Baszler is as intimidating as
Brock Lesnar and as skilled as Ronda Rousey, yet for some reason WWE has
struggled to put her to good use since she moved up to the main roster from
NXT.
While most of us are left scratching our heads, Baszler seems to take it all in her stride, proving her worth to the company every week on RAW despite some questionable booking. It's almost like Vince doesn't watch NXT, because if he did then surely, he would see the money in a warrior like Shayna.
Some would argue that Baszler signed with WWE at just the right time, especially as bringing her in any sooner would surely have seen her reduced to three-minute matches against far less talented females, in an era that really did nothing for women’s wrestling. On the opposite side of that coin though, bringing her into WWE sooner, or rather into NXT, could have allowed her a chance to shine on the same stage that made stars of Charlotte, Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks and Bayley. It definitely wouldn’t be unrealistic to think of Shayna in the Asuka role, as the dominant female heel running roughshod over the NXT women’s division.
