10 Wrestlers WWE Should Have Signed YEARS Earlier
6. Samoa Joe
Brock Lesnar returned to WWE in 2012, and for eight years made only a handful of in-person appearances. Despite his very part-time schedule, WWE booked him like he was completely unstoppable, awarding him multiple long-term reigns as either WWE or Universal Champion and even allowing him to end The Undertaker's undefeated WrestleMania streak.
Imagine a world in which WWE instead invested the same time and effort into a guy like Samoa Joe, but instead of having a part-time champion, Joe would show up on every RAW or SmackDown, and put on top-notch performances against the brightest and best WWE could throw at him on PPV.
If WWE had signed Joe to a deal years earlier than they did, then this might have been the legacy of 'The Samoan Submission Machine' in WWE rather than spending much of his time sitting behind a commentary desk. Years of abuse have taken their toll on the 41-year-old. Sign him at 31 instead and it could have been a very different story.
