10 Wrestlers You Didn't Know Competed At Wrestle Kingdom

9. Sin Cara

Mistico was arguably the biggest star in all of Mexican wrestling when he signed for the WWE in 2011.

One of Triple H's first pet projects, Sin Cara was supposed to be the next big thing and bring legions of Latin American fans to WWE. Safe to say, however, this is not what happened.

Mistico took to WWE's style of wrestling like a duck takes to molten lava. He would constantly botch moves to the point where it became a meme and was very unhappy during his time in the company. He was released in 2014 and the Sin Cara character was simply given to somebody else.

Two years before his disastrous holiday to WWE, Mistico made a much more enjoyable trip to the Land of the Rising Sun.

At Wrestle Kingdom III, Mistico was part of the opening match, where he teamed with Ryusuke Taguchi and Prince Devitt (the future Finn Balor) to take on Averno, Gedo, and Jado.

Mistico impressed in this match and got more dates with New Japan as a result. He would even win the company's Junior Heavyweight Championship later that year.

All in all, Mistico had a much better time in Japan than he did in WWE, although, let's be honest, that isn't saying much.
