10 Wrestlers You Didn’t Know Have Bad Reputations

5. Christian Cage

Christian Cage
AEW

How does Christian Cage end up on this list?!

He is a model professional. He is one of the most immensely respected pro wrestlers across multiple generations. Purportedly, he has a very intricate and cruel approach to the rib, and an acerbic sense of humour, but Christian is primarily known as a diamond-sharp wrestling mind with a spotless safety record. He is so gifted at putting matches together that he is your favourite wrestler’s favourite wrestler. Everybody would be thrilled to work with him. He’s a set-for-life guy; every major would want him on the roster, and he might even do his best work, one day, behind the scenes. Gauging by what virtually everybody within wrestling has to say about him, he could be the next, elusive Pat Patterson.

Paul ‘The Big Show’ Wight is not quite as enamoured with Christian Cage, though his comments - made to GamesRadar in 2016 - were partly in jest.

“Every time [Christian] punches you, his bony ass couldn’t hit any harder. He is the stiffest guy in wrestling.”

Christian might come armed with a receipt; everybody remembers a certain angle involving the Big Boss Man…
