Back before he'd ever locked fists with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins or really made that much of a splash on the independent scene, Jon Moxley made a string of wholly surreal and easily forgotten appearances on WWE programming during the Ruthless Aggression Era.

What you will likely struggle to erase from your memory after discovering this strange spell, though, is that damn hair.

His first long-haired showing in a sports entertainment ring came back in 2006, battling against MNM on Velocity alongside Brad Taylor in January of that year. That tryout defeat would then be followed by another entirely overlooked handicap battle with the Big Show on Heat, with Mox and Dick Rick (a pre-YEAH! LA Knight) getting the former knocked in the dirt by the giant.

Finishing off this trifecta of dreamlike tryout encounters, a bright-pink hair sporting future AEW World Champion then went one-on-one with another man who just so happened to boast a name inspired by a penis.

Mox was once again bested during this January 2007 Heat fight with Val Venis. But his work - or perhaps just that outrageous 'do - clearly caught the attention of those in the back as he ended up signing a developmental deal a few years down the road.

And the rest was violent history.
