10 Wrestlers You Had No Idea Wrestled On TNA One Night Only
5. Jonathan Gresham
Going off the image above, it's clear to see Jonathan Gresham is no stranger to accolades in Ring Of Honor, being the current Pure Champion and a recent World Tag Team Champion alongside Jay Lethal.
Sadly, he never had the same sort of luck in Impact Wrestling.
'The Octopus' was defeated by DJZ - now NXT's Joaquin Wilde - during the August 2016 One Night Only event. The match, a Ladder Match qualifier for later in the evening, was sensational. It was always the case when it came to these 'qualifying for the Ladder Match in the same night' specials; they gave you a show worth watching.
A fundamentally sound match all things considered, Gresham was allowed to showcase a good chunk of his repertoire throughout the contest. Working the arm of the future Legado del Fantasma member offered Jon a chance to cinch in his patented octopus hold, hence his moniker. He was defeated, as was expected, but it was easily one of the better match offerings from the names mentioned in this list.
For what it's worth, the ROH star also played the Suicide character the same night, and actually made it into that aforementioned Ultimate X Match that would be won by Braxton Sutter. Joining a legacy that also features Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian is something, at least.
