10 Wrestlers You Won't Believe Are Still Employed By WWE

5. Tony Nese

Speak of the (handsome) devil.

Tony Nese looks like a million bucks, but WWE give zero f*cks. Yes, that's poor poetry, but that could be fitting considering the muscle man has been written off main line television for as long as he has. He's another who has been permanently placed on 205 Live - Nese has been fed some scraps, yet barely enough.

He did lose to Jake Atlas on the 2 December 2020 NXT, and also jobbed for Riddle on the 21 July episode of SmackDown. That's as good as things have got for Nese over the past few years though. The 35-year old former Cruiserweight Champion's only hope is that his tag with Ariya Daivari catches fire.

Then, maybe, WWE will draft him back up to NXT for a run and give them a crack in the doubles division on Wednesday nights. If not, then Mr. Nese will plod on working TV shows that only the most hardcore of wrestling fans even look up results for.
