10 Wrestlers You Won't Believe Are Still Wrestling

7. Jerry Lawler

On the 10 September 2012 episode of Monday Night Raw, veteran commentator Jerry Lawler, moments after helping Randy Orton defeat the nefarious pairing of Dolph Ziggler and CM Punk, collapsed onto his desk. He'd suffered a legitimate heart attack.

Though the medical situation was dire, 'The King' miraculously managed to pull through. Following the near-death experience, it's probable Lawler's physicians strictly instructed the then-61 year old to perhaps knock the wrestling lark on the head for good. Wisely, he took their advice. Well, for year, at least.

In 2013, the Memphis legend was back piledriving hapless folk across the territories, and continues to do so to this day, at the fine vintage of 70. Just last August, Lawler could be seen plunging Mance Warner through a table at GCW's crossover event with Black Label Pro. Just don't expect him to leaping from the Raw announce desk again any time soon.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
