10 Wrestlers You'll NEVER Believe Shared The Same Ring
1. Sid Vs. Jinder Mahal
An amazing logistical feat more than anything else, it was hard enough to book Sid at all, much less on a no-name indie.
So obscure that it doesn't feature on the great man's Cagematch listing, this is truly bizarre. Sid defeated Eddie Kingston in five seconds at the aptly-named Refuse To Lose in 2011, and yet worked a match of reasonable length against a pre-WWE - and pre-chicken and broccoli - Jinder Mahal at a 'Wrestling Supershow' in Canada in 2008. It took place around three weeks after softball season ended, which might explain things.
It's about as sh*tty as you'd expect.
Jinder, then working as Tiger Raj Singh, bantered off the opening test of strength with a finger wag before remonstrating with the ringside fans in the exact spot you'd expect to see in a match pitting an elementary greenhorn against an ageing nostalgia act who couldn't give a single f*ck.
When the match finally unfolded, Jinder went for bear hug after bear hug and fed what little Sid did very, very obviously. Hilariously, Sid worked the entire match, back rakes, leg drops, camel clutch selling and all, like he was Hulk Hogan.
Even funnier still, because he didn't want to spend a single second longer than he had to in it, he rolled out of the ring, faster than he'd ever done owt in his life, like a midcard WWE babyface.
"He stole one!"
No, he just wanted to go home.
