The tumultuous life of Joanie Laurer following her release from the WWE in 2001 has been well documented.

After Chyna became one of the biggest stars in the Attitude Era for her unprecedented size and charisma, her life post wrestling before her untimely death in 2016 is one of the most tragic tales to befall the sport in recent years.

Prior to her release from the WWE, Chyna co-authored a book on her career, that paints a pretty depressing picture of the now-Hall of Famer's life, particularly in retrospect. Chyna details her various failures before venturing into the squared circle, all in a rather depressing manner as she discusses her fear of fading into obscurity.

The title also drew some controversy due to some of Chyna's disdainful comments about those working outside of the wrestling business, including referring to actress Sarah Jessica Parker as "hospital-bed thin".
