Ring Of Honor are being touted as a major part of Chris Jericho's 'Rock N' Wrestling Rager' cruise next October. That wasn't Y2J's initial plan. He originally approached WWE with the idea and wanted to know if they'd be into the idea of letting NXT run a show as part of the package. Jericho told this story on the Killing The Town podcast.

It took years for Jericho to map out what he wanted to do. The cruise company were also hesitant about promoting pro wrestling, because they didn't really have a clue what kind of market there'd be to exploit. That must be why Y2J turned to WWE in an attempt to show them that this could be big business. Ultimately, WWE turned him down.

Jericho was forced to sit through a boring 35-minute lecture from WWE executives. They told him why it was a bad idea, but Y2J couldn't help but think they could have left it at a simple "no". From there, he approached ROH about literally getting on board.
