Chyna was on her way out of the WWF when the company signed former ECW female Jazz to a deal in late-2001. That wasn't something the newcomer knew at the time, and she was keen to ingratiate herself to someone she both respected and thought held some sway in her new workplace.

Unbeknownst to Jazz, Chyna had one foot out the door and wasn't looking to make new friends.

On Jazz's first day backstage at a WWF show, she figured it'd be a good idea to approach Chyna, introduce herself and shake a new co-worker's hand. When she did, Chyna refused the greeting and wouldn't shake hands. In fact, she didn't even say hello and brushed past.

Jazz told this story to Noonan Speaks, and said she was left stunned by the diss. Shortly afterwards, she realised the tight spot Chyna was in. The one-time alpha female of the promotion knew her days were numbered, and was in a foul mood.
