4. The Godfather Almost Joined The New World Order

Instead of saying "pimpin' ain't easy", one Charles Wright could easily have been pulling on the black and white colours of the nWo and spray-painting rivals. That's right, the former Papa Shango and Kama almost joined WCW before landing on his feet as The Godfather in WWE.

Wright confessed to having talks with WCW on the WWE Network Photo Shoot show, and he explained how he was supposed to come in as the nWo's bodyguard.

Once negotiations to leave fell through, he signed a new deal with WWE and went on to play perhaps his most famous character. Things could have been very different, not only for The Godfather but also for Virgil; after Wright decided against joining WCW, Virgil signed on, became Vincent and assumed the role of nWo heavy.

The Godfather believes that Virgil agreed to a cheaper price to play the bodyguard gimmick. He wasn't willing to sell himself short however, and he's glad he stuck around in WWE during the financially lucrative Attitude Era to roll a fatty as the resident pimp daddy.
