For an example of how petty the business can be, one need look no further than WWE's decision to outcast DDP for the recent Raw Reunion show. According to Page himself on the WINCLY podcast, Matt Bloom told him that the company couldn't use him if he was "working with those guys now".

"Those guys" being AEW.

In the same interview, DDP said that he's made it clear to Cody and everyone else at All Elite that he wouldn't sign a deal with the promotion if he was offered one. His heart still wants to work with WWE, because that's where Page believes he belongs. He's viewing this AEW excursion as a favour to Dusty Rhodes' boy.

There's some brain power behind Page's words too. Ever the savvy businessman, he made sure to put over how many WWE stars use his yoga programs to heal their bodies. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that DDP sees more dollar signs if he goes the WWE route.
