The smile Eve Torres wore when she was confirmed as 2007's WWE Diva Search winner validated the promotion's decision. Beautiful and marketable, Torres' grin had won everyone over. Everyone aside from herself, that is. Internally, Eve was ravaged with self-doubt and suffered from 'imposter syndrome'.

In a nutshell, that psychological fear leads one to believe they'll soon be exposed as a fraud.

Eve told this to Lilian Garcia's 'Chasing Glory' pod, and also revealed that she struggled to get over the condition even after accomplishing bigger things in WWE. Mentally, Torres couldn't comprehend the fact that she was smashing her goals and doing so at the expense of others.

She knew the long road she faced to gain acceptance after coming in as a non-wrestling model, and that only made things harder for Torres. The pressure continued to mount until she began making friends backstage and realised she belonged.
