Bringing to a close her lengthy association with the company, Lilian Garcia has stepped away from the WWE spotlight. Her on and off contract with the organisation has spanned over 16 years, a time during which Lilian has witnessed many changes to the way management go about their day-to-day business.

Granting a question and answer session to Naluda.com, Garcia peeled back the curtain on her role in WWE. As a ring announcer, she was called upon to help build excitement for major title matches both on television and pay-per-view. After so long in the role, it'd be easy to imagine Lilian was comfortable, but those in charge kept her on her toes.

During the interview, Garcia revealed that she was often called upon to memorise long-winded passages before marquee bouts. For example, a rule sheet was handed to her the day of the show, and the ring announcer was told that she had to get it right word-for-word with no mistakes.

This came with serious pressure, because millions of eyes were focused on that moment. Making things more nervy, management were watching to ensure Garcia didn't screw up.
