John Cena's appearance on the - WWE Network exclusive - Chris Jericho podcast opened some eyes. It's cool that the company are allowing men such as Steve Austin and Jericho to ask the questions people really want to know the answers to, but it's nonetheless surprising that Cena was quizzed on the possibility of turning heel by his peer. Answering honestly, Cena says that there were tentative plans for him to do just that during his feud with The Rock, and that he even spent a huge amount of money on a new outfit he could use as a heel. Throwing $5,000 at the idea, Cena must have been pretty confident he was about to turn rogue, because he even recorded a new theme song he could use as a bad guy. Obviously, this turn would never come to pass, but it's galling that WWE would let such a large amount of money change hands, simply for new gear, and then not do anything with the idea. Fans have been crying out for John Cena to turn heel for a number of years now, but he's always stayed on the babyface side of the fence. Will the man ever turn renegade again?
