Having not been seen on WWE programming for three months, there's now an update on the status of Rusev.

The Bulgarian Brute was last in televised action on the 27th July episode of Raw, where he lost to Je'Von Evans. However, it appears that a return could be on the horizon for the former United States Champion.

Via Fightful Select, discussions have been ongoing since September when it comes to Rusev's return to TV, and he's been training in-ring for that return, too. So, it sounds as if we might be seeing Rusev back on our screens sooner rather than later.

While Rusev hasn't wrestled on TV for three months, he did return to action at a couple of Hawaii house shows earlier this month, losing to Joe Hendry on October 16th, then teaming with Ethan Page in a loss to Chad Gable and Rey Fenix the following day.

Of course, Rusev returned to WWE shortly after WrestleMania 41, having spent the previous five years with AEW. Fair to say, it's been somewhat of a stop-start second stint with WWE for the 40-year-old, likely highlighted by a fun feud with Sheamus and an on-off alliance with Ethan Page.

That aforementioned July Raw match against Je'Von Evans saw Rusev land awkwardly and suffer temporary numbness in his hands, as later confirmed by his wife, CJ Perry. Thankfully, Ru-Ru has since been able to return to the ring at those Honolulu, Hawaii live events, and it now remains to be seen as and when he returns to TV, and also whether he'll once again pick up that tag team with All Ego.
