Corey Graves must have been distraught when a spate of concussion issues forced him to hang up his tights in 2014. A promising worker on NXT, Graves didn't look like he had much of a future in WWE post-wrestling, but he'd go on to become arguably the best colour commentator in the business.

The first time Corey sat behind the desk on Raw, he was ready. Earlier in the day however, he was overcome with emotion.

Whilst talking to Justin LaBar for a new interview, Graves said he couldn't believe that his announcing career would start in Pittsburgh (his home town). Soon after waking up in his hotel room, Corey looked out a nearby window and broke down into tears for a good five minutes.

The emotion of that moment was quickly forgotten when Graves realised he wouldn't have a big babyface entrance in front of his adoring public. Instead, he'd have to sneak out under a shroud of darkness before the show started.
