9. David Arquette Pitched A Drunk Manager Gimmick To Lucha Underground

Wrestling fans haven't really seen David Arquette in the industry since his ill-fated run as WCW World Champion in the year 2000. The actor admirably donated all of his earnings from that title tenure to charity, but that didn't stop people from seething over the decision to hand him the Big Gold Belt.

Incredibly, Arquette pitched a return to the grap game fairly recently, albeit with an entirely different feel.

Lucha Underground have been earning rave reviews for their wholly unique programming, and it's something admitted wrestling fan Arquette would love to be a part of, which is why he pitched the idea to become a manager with the company.

Telling Broomstick Comics all about his idea, the Ready To Rumble star revealed that he envisioned a character called 'El Baracho'. That translates as 'The Drunk' in Spanish, meaning Arquette's gimmick would carry beer bottles with him to the ring and act intoxicated.

Crucially, he wouldn't wrestle. Instead, he'd simply act as a second for other wrestlers, interfering with the aforementioned longnecks...
