In the lead up to WrestleMania 32, there was some social media chatter regarding a possible return to the fold for Bill Goldberg. The former WCW star didn't have the best run in WWE between 2003-2004, and later went on record as saying he never felt properly utilised. Still, there were rumours about a potential comeback.

Some believed Goldberg would interfere in Ryback's match on the show, whereas others felt the best place for him was in Shane McMahon's corner against The Undertaker. There was even talk that he'd win the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Throughout all of the speculation, Bill stayed quiet.

On Twitter this week, the ex-WCW World Champion revealed exactly why. Not looking to squash any rumours, he also didn't want to give any of his fans hope that he'd be there. In other words, he opted out of playing the game and just decided to keep his mouth shut.

Of course, Goldberg didn't make a WWE comeback on the show. The rumours about a future appearance will continue though, I'm sure.
