As soon as clocks struck midnight on Thursday, August 17, 2017, Asuka etched herself into the WWE history books forever. The Japanese star has now held the NXT Women's Title for a mighty 504 days, a full 2 days longer than the previous Women's Title record in WWE held by Rockin' Robin.

Robin won the old WWF Women's Championship from Sherri Martel in October, 1988 and held the belt for 502 days before it was retired on February 21, 1990. There's a chance she would've held it for longer too had Vince McMahon not decided to do away with the title, but it wasn't to be. Now, Asuka has the crown.

There's a bit of controversy over this one, because technically The Fabulous Moolah had several longer reigns as female champ during the 1960's and 70's. Those aren't officially acknowledged in WWE's history books though, meaning Asuka is free to take her place in company folklore. That main roster call up has to be imminent, right?
