WWE has done a poor job of presenting the Women's Tag-Team Titles as important. It all started so well; when Sasha Banks and Bayley cried tears of joy at Elimination Chamber, it seemed the women's scene had a hot new division to pin its hopes on. Things fell apart when The IIconics bagged them at WrestleMania and WWE lost interest.

Sasha and Bayley were never supposed to have their moment, at least not at first.

Brie Bella told ESPN this week that it was actually she and sister Nikki who were in the running to become the first female Tag Champs. Things changed when Nikki was forced from the ring due to neck injuries. WWE couldn't sit around and wait for a possible recovery.

Despite the sorry circumstances of Sasha's fall out with management, The IIconics' never defending the belts and the Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross tandem winning them suddenly, most will be happy that The Bellas weren't first champs. They're a relic of the old 'Diva' days.
