1. Harley Race Used To Chase Teddy Long With A Taser

Teddy Long was probably emotional too whenever Harley Race was in the building, albeit for different reasons.

JR also shared a story about how fond Harley was of Teddy. They went back to the old NWA days, and that's why Race looked forward to seeing his pal whenever he attended WWE live events as a guest towards the end of his life. Instead of embracing Long with a big hug though, Harley would chase the poor bastard around with a taser.

Race flicked a switch on the weapon so that it didn't conduct electricity but still flashed and made a loud noise. That terrified Teddy, and Harley had a ball chasing him around the venue, sneaking up on him during promo pre-tapes and generally tormenting his old buddy. Maybe that's why Long always looked over his shoulder as SmackDown GM.

The good-natured rib was something a lot of the other boys got a kick out of too. That's probably why Harley enjoyed it so much. Ross says he always loved being the life and soul of the party, and he was at his happiest when making others laugh or smile. Apart from Teddy Long, obviously.
