This week's episode of 'Grilling JR' with Jim Ross was an extended tribute to the life and career of one Harley Race. Alongside all the funny stories (see the next entry for one of the best) from Jim, several other names stopped by to share their thoughts on the legend. The most poignant eulogy came from Trevor Murdoch.

He had a feel good tale to tell, and it showed the classy side of WWE not many people recognise in 2019.

Right at the tail end of Harley's life, he was struggling to get out of hospital and fly home so he could see some old friends maybe for the last time. Medicare wouldn't cover the costs, so he was stuck, but WWE stumped up the cash within 10 minutes. No questions asked, no thank you expected. That's something Murdoch was grateful for.

WWE's gesture meant he got to spend a few more days with someone he was incredibly close to. Race had been a mentor of sorts to Trevor, and even attended his wedding. As he recanted WWE's unreported generosity on the podcast, Murdoch got emotional about his friend.
