"What about Raven?" was a regular question in the popular character's promos during the late-90s and into his WWE run at the turn of the millennium. It must have been a query the man behind the gimmick had for real when he was placed on wrestler's court backstage and literally told not to talk for two months.

This is not a joke.

Tommy Dreamer said on Robbie E's Why It Ended pod that Raven was once banned from speaking in the locker room. He was allowed to go over spots in his matches that night, but he wasn't permitted to banter with the other wrestlers or chew the cud with friends when he was on company premises. If he did, the sentence would be doubled.

Dreamer didn't go into details on why Raven was handed this punishment by his peers, but he did admit his old ECW colleague had nuclear heat backstage for the way he acted. Interestingly, Tommy also said that Raven would "solicit", whatever that means in a wrestling context.
