10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (Feb 12)
6. Bret Hart Thought Brock Lesnar Should Have Won Royal Rumble
These days, Bret Hart is largely outspoken about the WWE product. Over the past few years, he has called the in-ring abilities of Triple H into question, and also had pops at everyone from Vince McMahon to Hulk Hogan. However, when he's talking about the actual product, it's clear that he still has a passion for what he feels should be happening in pro wrestling. During a recent appearance on Ring Rust Radio, the genuine wrestling legend gave his thoughts on the recent Royal Rumble match in January. In Hart's mind, it was a grave mistake to have Triple H win the 30-man bout, because it was too obvious. Instead, Bret felt that Brock Lesnar should have been the one to leave the over-the-top-rope match as the victor. Hart doesn't hide his admiration of guys like Lesnar, someone he feels has the entire package. Not only is a good performer, but he also ticks all the boxes in the body department, something WWE still enjoy presenting. For Bret, Brock was the man who should have won the Royal Rumble. Lord knows what he would think of rumours about a Lesnar vs. Braun Strowman SummerSlam clash!
