If you're a Rob Van Dam fan or have watched a few of his matches in ECW or WWE, then you'll know all about that backwards kick spot he does off the middle rope. It's flashy and looks damn cool. It's also highly dangerous, super-stiff and has injured countless wrestlers over the years.

Including Rob's good pal Sabu.

On The Apter Chat, RVD recalled trying to work some kinks out of his performance of the move. He believed it'd be a great addition to his matches, but he was worried about being able to blindly pull it off in the heat of the moment. So, he asked if Sabu would become a test dummy, and ended up breaking his pal's jaw.

To Van Dam's disbelief, Sabu picked himself back up off the canvas, said his jaw would heal and then asked to try the spot again. Rob wouldn't do it until the bone had healed. Six weeks later, when it had, they were back in the ring practising.
