8. RVD Thinks AJ Styles Will Have To Change To Suit WWE
As far back as the mid-1990's, people were talking about the possibility of Rob Van Dam moving on from the original ECW to join either WCW or the WWF. It was reasoned that RVD had all the skills imaginable to feasibly make it at a higher level, but he wouldn't become part of the McMahon juggernaut until Paul Heyman's operation went out of business. If there's someone who knows all about reigning in their unique style to better fit in with WWE, it's Rob Van Dam. Talking to Title Match Wrestling, the former WWE Heavyweight Champion gave his thoughts on the recent debut of AJ Styles. Van Dam previously worked with AJ in TNA, and remarked that Styles has always had an awesome in-ring style. However, RVD feels that's something AJ will have to address if he wishes to be a success story in WWE. It was remarkable to see Styles perform the 'Styles Clash' finishing move on Curtis Axel recently, because some fans felt the trademark hold might not make it to WWE television. For Van Dam, Styles may have to think about adapting to fit WWE, not the other way around.
