10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (Jan 12)
9. Arn Anderson Was The One To Tell Triple H He Had A Job
A quick clip posted on WWE's YouTube channel showed Triple H returning to the first venue he ever worked for World Championship Wrestling in 1994. That'd be Center Stage in Atlanta, the same place WCW would tape old episodes of Saturday Night. Now, NXT have recorded there, and the history of the place isn't lost on Triple H.
He recalled sitting backstage after working a tryout match for the company. Earlier, he'd knocked on the office door of Dusty Rhodes and told him Eric Bischoff had set up the trial dark match. Once the match was finished and he was left to reflect on what happened, the then-Terra Ryzing was surprised to be approached by Arn Anderson.
Anderson didn't just have some friendly advice for the rookie, he was there to tell him that Dusty had been impressed. Much to the future WWE CEO's delight, Arn told him he now had a job with WCW. The coolest part of WWE's video is when 'The Game' gets emotional reminiscing about this.
