If Goldberg had been given the choice, he likely wouldn't have picked Saudi Arabia for his WWE comeback match. During a podcast chat with the folks from 'Challenge Mania', Shawn Michaels pretty much said he'd have rather not worked Crown Jewel in Jeddah either.

HBK called the event a "glorified house show". Oh my.

Backtracking slightly, Shawn then said he didn't want to ruffle any feathers with his comments or be "intellectually insulting" to any fans, but he didn't view Crown Jewel with the same kind of importance as WrestleMania or another major pay-per-view; although Michaels is only telling the truth there, one has to question why he agreed to the gig in the first place if it didn't mean anything to him.

Shawn answered that too, saying he was talked into it by Triple H and WWE. He viewed it as a favour to friends rather than a full-blown comeback. Hmm. The better strategy, if Michaels was really not up for it, would've been simply saying no. Of course, money talks.
