9. Jerry Lawler Thinks Bray Wyatt Would Have Been Huge In Memphis

Bray Wyatt Royal Rumble

The old USWA and CWA territories were staples of the industry in Tennessee. To this day, Jerry Lawler still continues to help run the Memphis Wrestling promotion, and the product is like a real throwback to a bygone era. If he had his way, Lawler would book Bray Wyatt for the territory in a heart beat.

Via his Dinner With The King podcast, Jerry analysed the current WWE roster and gave his thoughts on who would be an excellent fit for Memphis. Straight away, he named Wyatt as the one who would have most success, likely owing to Bray's mystical, over-the-top character and ability to weave words on the microphone.

Wyatt uses a more traditional wrestling gimmick than his peers on the WWE payroll, that's for sure. According to Lawler, though, that old-time feel would have stood him well in Memphis during the 1970s and 80s.

If only WWE's writing team were prepared to book him as strongly as the King would.
