There was a time when Alex Riley seemed like a surefire main event push waiting to happen.

Reflecting on his career now won't make that obvious, but in 2011 there were few blue chippers with the potential to be a star like Riley. Think back to his association with The Miz. At the time, there was real promise there.

Things didn't pan out for Riley. He was released by WWE in 2016. Since then, he has been trying to carve out an acting career for himself in Hollywood and will have a role in the upcoming GLOW series on Netflix. According to a chat with the WZ Daily podcast, Riley can't get nervous during auditions because of his WWE experiences.

Standing in front of thousands every night in his underwear, expected to perform someone else's script, must make it difficult to get embarrassed. That's Riley's reasoning for failing to feel the nerves before he auditions for an acting part.
