The year has thus far been a pretty confusing one for Bray Wyatt. There was a time when it seemed definite that he would face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania, but that match has been pushed forward to Roadblock. Come 'Mania, it will instead be Dean Ambrose who faces 'The Beast'.

In order to kill time for what seemed like a nailed-on bout against Lesnar, Wyatt had a mini-feud with The Dudley Boyz. During that rivalry, Bubba Ray and D-Von welcomed both Tommy Dreamer and Rhyno back, making the situation like The Wyatt Family vs. The ECW Originals.

On the December 15, 2015 edition of Monday Night Raw, both sides battled in what was dubbed an 'Extreme Rules' bout. The show took place in Philadelphia, the traditional home of ECW. Speaking to the Philly Voice, Wyatt noted that this was especially poignant for him.

During the match, Bray thought back to his childhood, and the small boy who watched ECW on television and remarked that his kid self would have been proud to think he would someday face guys like The Dudley Boyz, Dreamer and Rhyno.
