Back in the late-1990's, both Bradshaw and Faarooq had  taken on the role of enforcers of the tag division in the WWF. Both men had been around the company for years, and it wasn't uncommon for them to work with new talent coming into the promotion.

One of the teams they worked with in late '99 was The Dudley Boyz.

During a match in Atlantic City, D-Von accidentally forgot the planned layout of the match. Entering the ring to help out Bubba, he had forgotten that the quartet were supposed to perform a scheduled 'hot tag' spot, and was supposed to be bumping instead of getting offense in.

This, naturally, didn't sit well with The APA members.

Flustered and annoyed, both Faarooq and Bradshaw stuck the boots  to D-Von, and the latter purposefully got his name wrong backstage after the match, calling him 'Devin' while he chewed D-Von out for botching.

Remarkably, he also told him that Atlantic City had been the home of back-to-back WrestleMania cards, but D-Von had killed the town with his idiocy.

Telling The Press Of Atlantic City the story now, D-Von likely had a smile on his face as he did so, but he surely wasn't laughing back in 1999.
