Imagine being fired for shouting, "Suck my d*ck motherf*cker" on live TV then immediately being rehired for a match against DDP. Sean Waltman doesn't need to.

In 1997, Waltman was riding high as Syxx in the nWo. On his X-Pac 1, 2, 360 podcast, he remembered shouting the obscenity during a tag match in Orlando on Nitro, then being called out for it backstage by Eric Bischoff. This was just the latest in a number of incidents that Bischoff had to answer for to higher ups in Turner management.

A few weeks later, Waltman pulled Ric Flair's trunks down in another match and exposed his junk and ass to the fans. That was the final straw for Bischoff. He couldn't stand idly by and catch flak for things Syxx was doing. Frustrated, he fired Waltman, only to hear from a bemused Diamond Dallas Page that he was supposed to put him over later the same night.

Unsure what to do, Eric rehired Syxx on the spot so he could work the match with Page. Shortly after that, Waltman was injured and fired for good when he was recuperating. What a whirlwind.
