10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (March 22)

2. JBL's Hilarious WrestleMania 21 After Party Story

JBL Money

At WrestleMania 21, JBL made an elaborate entrance for his match with John Cena. Fake $100 bills rained down on the audience, and thousands of people were able to grab a little souvenir by keeping hold of a few. When one fan posted a pic of the promotional money on Twitter, Layfield himself shared a story about that night.

During the after party at the hotel bar, JBL repeatedly tipped the bartender with his own phoney cash. The barman had a huge smile on his face as the rich wrestler told him to keep the change, and he must've been looking forward to counting his bonus back home. When he did, he would've been distraught.

Layfield had been hiding his face as he handed over the cash, and he somehow fooled the bartender into thinking he was the most generous guy in the room. The bills were worthless, but they helped make JBL look like Mr. Magnanimous.

What a heel.
