The best stories told on Ryback's 'Conversations With The Big Guy' podcast come when the man himself is open about his childlike love of pro wrestling, and that was the case once more during the show's latest episode.

Driven to a local 24 Hour Fitness gym in Las Vegas by his parents, the young wrestling fan would work out as a kid. Spotting Charles 'The Godfather' Wright on the elliptical machine one day, an impressionable Ryback grew to idolise the wrestler and would deliberately work out in front of him in a bid to grab the WWF star's attention.

Intentionally setting up his weight bench through some windows opposite the machines Wright was working out on, the aspiring star attempted to impress his hero by lifting stupidly heavy weights and doing a ridiculous number of sets.

According to Ryback, he had no interest in asking for an autograph or picture, because he just wanted to show a top name how strong he was for a 15-year old kid.
