2. The 'One Ladder' WrestleMania X Story Is False

Here's another.

The long-standing narrative is that Shawn Michaels and Razor Ramon only had one ladder to work with at WrestleMania X. Both men have furthered that tale in interviews over the years, claiming that they'd have been stuck for a way to reach the Intercontinental Title belts had the first prop broke.

Bruce Prichard says otherwise. He refuted the story by saying there was a backup ladder underneath the ring at Madison Square Garden, but acknowledged that Shawn and Razor's worked comments do make for a more dramatic anecdote. They're not truthful though, 'cause the WWF took some precautions.

Prichard's recollection makes more sense. Sure, the ladder concept was new to the company back in 1994, but they probably weren't short-sighted enough to think one ladder would suffice. Vince McMahon was hardly going to leave things to chance on the biggest show of the year.
