If there's one thing Jim Cornette despises, it's wrestling companies who ruin great talent. That's why, when he was Executive Producer of ROH between 2009-2012, Corny hated the idea that Seth Rollins might sign on the dotted line for TNA. To Cornette, that would've been a huge mistake.

As Tyler Black, Rollins was riding high as ROH World Champ when TNA made their move. When Cornette found out about the deal they put on the table, he warned his young protege to set fire to the paper ASAP and run a mile. OK, not really, but he did tell Seth that TNA's offer wouldn't do anything for his career prospects.

To him, it was very one-sided and didn't favour the wrestler at all.

Cornette told this story on his 'Drive-Thru' podcast, and added that he was relieved when WWE snagged Rollins instead in 2010. That was where Jim felt his man should be, not in a company he believed would whore him out on fruitless indy dates and control his life.
