It was Vince McMahon who pulled his new 'Nexus' stable into the office to brief them on their John Cena attack on the 7 June 2010 Raw. McMahon, according to Heath Slater on Edge and Christian's 'Pod Of Awesomeness', wanted the octet to be a vicious "pack of wolves".

This pep talk from the boss was quite the change for Slater, Wade Barrett, Daniel Bryan, Skip Sheffield, Justin Gabriel, David Otunga, Michael Tarver and Darren Young. Previously, when the eight WWE 'Rookies' were cast on the original NXT show, they weren't even allowed to get changed in the same locker room as the regular roster.

They had to find a broom closet instead.

In typical pro wrestling bullsh*t fashion, the newbies weren't accepted as part of the main crew at first and had to 'pay their dues' by getting dressed for shows elsewhere. Before the Nexus debut, Slater recalled finding a nearby cupboard that offered a modicum of privacy to change into his gear.
