10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (May 15)
4. Chris Jericho Requests To Wrestle Finn Balor
In July, WWE will make the trip to the Orient, promoting back-to-back shows in Japan. To the delight of many fans, Finn Balor will be included on the tour, which makes perfect sense - as Prince Devitt, Balor had sustained success in the country, and is still cherished to this day as one of the best foreign performers to ever ply his trade there. Another star who has signed up for the jaunt is none other than Chris Jericho, and after it was revealed Y2J would face Finn Balor on July 4, the internet promptly blew up over the news. Better yet, it was apparently Jericho himself who requested the match, likely knowing that both he and Balor can create magic for the fans in attendance. Hopefully, if the match goes well, WWE will see just how smooth a performer Balor is. It's likely they're fully aware of his skills by now, but it'd be nice to see such a bout take place on main WWE programming. Another suggestion could be actually taping the Japanese events, then beaming them over the WWE Network. Why not? This is a match which deserves to be seen.
